TabTrade Broker Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker

The Broker - What It Is

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
